About Kintel

From the website, simply visit Get App and click on the link to download the App from Google Play or the App Store.
From Google Play or the App Store:
Search for Kintel on Google Play (Android) or the App Store (Apple) and select Install.
Once the App is installed, open the app and login using the username and password that has been supplied to you.
To synchronize the device with the with the web interface you will need to click here to log in now. From here you will be able to manage your child's device features.
Once you have logged in and synchronized your device with your web interface, go to “Add Child Device” click on the add button.
You will be directed to the Add Users page where you can fill in your child’s details. You will be asked to create a username and password for the child’s device.
After adding your child, you will need to follow the same steps of downloading the Kintel App onto their device.
When the App has been downloaded, and installed you will need to log in on their App using the username and password you have created for them.
From here you will be able to monitor their device from the web interface.

Kintel App


Log in with the username and password that was sent to you in the welcome email and SMS.
Once you have logged in and synchronized your device with your web interface, go to “Add Child Device” click on the add button.
You will be directed to the Add Users page where you can fill in your child’s details. You will be asked to create a username and password for the child’s device.
After adding your child, you will need to follow the same steps of downloading the Kintel App onto their device.
When the App has been downloaded, and installed you will need to log in on their App using the username and password you have created for them.
From here you will be able to monitor their device from the web interface.
Kintel constantly tracks your device using network signals. After logging into the web interface you will be able to see where their phone is in your dashboard and under tracking.
After logging in on the web interface you select the button “Send Message” in the Quick Actions section. A popup will appear. Here you can write the message that you would like to send to your child’s device that will come though as a notification on the device.
After logging in on the web interface you select the button “Start Remote Call” in the Quick Actions section. A popup will appear. In the “Number to Dial” field you to enter a phone number that you want your child’s device to remotely call. Not the cell number of the device.
After logging in on the web interface you select the button “Start Camera Front” to remotely make your front camera take photos, in the Quick Actions section. If you select the button, in the Quick Actions section, “Start Camera Rear” you will remotely take photos on your rear devices camera. On the web interface go to the gallery where you will find you photos that have been taken.
To change your password on the Kintel App, select Users from the menu options.
Go to the Login Details section and type your selected password into the password field and click Save.

Web Interface


The Kintel web interface is an online web portal that enables you to log in to your Kintel profile where you can manage and control your loved ones' devices at a time of need.
To log into the web interface, visit www.kintel.co.za, click on the Login button, and fill in your details. Click here to log in now. To log out click on the log out button on the top right-hand corner.
After logging into the web interface, you will land on your Dashboard. Your Dashboard will give you a view of the following:
  • Add Child Device
  • Add Additional Adult
  • Select Child Device:
    This shows what child's devices you have linked to your account.
    To change the child's device, click on the dropdown and select the device that you would like to manage.
  • Quick Actions:
    This is where you will be able to activate the monitoring features.
  • Tracking:
    You can view your child's last location on the map.
  • Tracking Log:
    A breakdown of data that is logged for the location of the device.

General Questions


No. Your child has access only to the panic alert which they can activate in a time of need.
Without a WiFi or data connection the app will not work.
Kintel is all about privacy and as a parent you are able to view the SMS log only and not the actual content. The same applies to the call log.
Your child’s phone will require airtime in order for you to activate a remote call to listen in on what is happening around them.
No refund will be issued for cancellations in the following cases:
When a special offer was part of the subscription.
The amount to be refunded is less than R50 (fifty rand).
Monthly payments are cancelled with immediate effect so no refund will be due.
